Nice one EN - cleared that up. Doesn't sound to me like the door's been shut on Morrison at all. I like the way Allardyce has handled it to be fair. Up your game or there's no future with us.

As I said earlier, got to hope that the court case sorts Morrison out. Sounds to me like he owes us a lot.

Cheers EN - do you know when that quote from Allardyce was?

There's an article from this time last year where Nolan is quoted as saying that Morrison's attitude had improved dramatically after his time at Birmingham and that 'he was like a new man'.

Re: Ravel cleared...
For the hat trick

“It’s not that he has to impress me as a footballer, we know about his talent. It’s about playing the talent and himself to a disciplined life in general, is what needs to happen with Rav. If that happens we’d want him here.”

Off-field misdemeanours have often led Morrison’s career to stagnate while others have prospered and the West Ham manager remains wary that those problems will continue to dog the precious talent.

“It’s about self-discipline,” he said.“We have our code of conduct like everybody else but self-discipline as a professional player in life is very important. And he has to sort that side of it out for me to be part of this squad that we have here.

“It’s a lack of concentration and a lack of discipline. In the end you can only talk to him so often, so many times about changing. Since he’s been here he has got better, there’s no doubt about that. But he still needs to get even more disciplined to where he is now. I think that he’s happy when he’s playing first-team football as well.“

There we're rumours and I think comments from allardyce or one of owners indicating he wasn't turning up for training earlier this season

Re: Ravel cleared...
I'm still in the dark as to what has exactly happened. It did seem like he was loaned out because of some kind of fall out in pre-season when he first joined us. But no one seems to know for sure what went on.

He did well at Birmingham, was praised heavily by Lee Clark for a turn round in his attitude, then came back, was doing well at times with us, did well for Eng U'21s and then there was another fall out (?) and he was shipped out to QPR. He said on twitter when at QPR that he was looking forward to coming back and scoring goals at UP next season which suggested there wasn't a bust up?

Does anyone actually know what went on? I've seen a lot of supposed ITK stuff that is critical of Morrison which doesn't seem to have been corroborated by quotes from anyone involved. I did see some comments attributed to Morrison about Nolan trying to get him to change agents everyday in training. And Sullivan just before the start of this season said that Allardyce didn't want him but the chairmen do?

I've not seen anything from Allardyce himself and the last thing I heard was that Morrison said he was grateful for the support of the club when he was arrested recently.

Have to agree, I can't see any way that he would sign a new contract. The guy has been given numerous chances and fucked up every time. He's got amazing talent , but i suspect he will fuck it all up to be the pathetic Gangsta character that he seems to aspire too

It would be good if he came good but that isn't going to happen... not with us anyway. His contract is up this summer and I don't suppose he would agree to a new contract with us even if we offered him one (which we won't).

It was a gamble, which could / should have paid off for us but he is clearly not condusive to a good team spirit so we are best off out of it.

He was injured on Saturday Ludo and has been coming back from injury over the last few weeks which he why he hasn't been starting at Cardiff. He's far from shit and it was a punt when we bought him but there was a spell last year where he did contribute and showed real quality at times.

Personally my hope is that this court case will make him knuckle down (it is a hope I know) and we sit down with him in the summer and see where its at. He's undoubtedly talented and the hope is it comes good for him one day, be great if that was with us.

Only one of the charges appears to have been dropped.

Morrison will go on trial on Jan. 26 on three remaining charges of assaulting his ex-girlfriend and her mother in July. He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault by beating and one of assault causing actual bodily harm.

Blimey - you sad fuck. Has this been eating you up for three and a half months? One charge out of four dropped and you post this very public display of suppressed agony. You need help.

Re: Ravel cleared...
What is the problem with slagging Morrison off anyway? Bloke is clearly a waste of space.... his contract is up in the summer and I can't see it being renewed... he struggles to get a game at Cardiff, not even on the bench last weekend.... you don't have to be Mystic Meg to realise he will never play for West Ham again.

Ohh and.... shame, he's great but BLAHHH, BLAHHH, BLAHHH.... Bollocks, he's shit and has been a waste of a 1m fee and his wages.

Re: Ravel Morrison charged

Three assaults. Two on the gf and one on his old mum. NICE BLOKE.

And he went on and on and on about Ravel before the decision in court....

Such as...

Assault doesn't have to be a punch/slap/push.
He was drunk.
He didn't turn up for court in a suit.
He'd been done for wtiness intimidation, which again was supposed to fuck him up further in court.
He didn't even deny the fucking charges...
He was even released and rearrested...
Fuck supporting him as a club, we even got this cunt's teeth sorted...
He doesn't even love the club....

Also, a lovely bit of internet cyber bullying pallying up with Hammer74 (who hates bullying and had to leave the site cos of it) towards Alex V, who merely said

"innocent until proven guilty?"

Arko 4:10 Mon Nov 10
Re: Ravel cleared...
Johnson, rumours about Ravel have added up during his time at West Ham, Ravel exchanging blows with a coach, Ravel failing to turn up for training time and time again, Ravel not getting on with several of his teammates and vice versa and so on.

Allardyce being no angel either as apparently he wanted Ravel to change his agent to the same one employed by Allardyce and Nolan.

Also, why has he spent nearly his entire West Ham reign at other clubs out on loan ?
West Ham wanted him away to gain playing time, find some time to contemlate his situation and NOT disturb team spirit at West Ham.
